Now and Then

Being back in Abbotford is somewhat surreal. When I am in Saskatoon, I get the occasional down'lo of whats been going on here. But when your back and apart of everyones lives again, you dont really feel like your apart of it. Its cool to see where people are at, marriage, occupations, children. Then there's me. The random, who will sometimes have her nose pierced, or sometimes not. Thats okay, I dont mind. Abbotsford doesnt feel like home anymore though, thats for sure. I love my family and friends, but I just wish they would uproot their lives and move to saskatoon. You know? Is that too much to ask. I miss Saskatoon. I went for Sushi with two good girlfriends of mine, Sheila and Laura. Growing up, my sister Vanessa, and I would play with Sheila and Laura, and the four of us were the best of freinds. And for there was this one summer, where we would either be in band, or creating grandeoise musicals with servants and witches. Of course, Vanessa and Sheila being the more aggressive of the four always snagged the leading lady roles, and Laura and I were always the servants, or moms, or backstage hand/ pouting roles of the theatricals. We would also play that we were orphans on a pirate ship that always seemed to be sinking, but that of course made summers more exciting. So anyways, tonight the three of us (minus Vanessa, who is in Europe) were laughing at those times, and how pretty incredible our imaginations were. That was Abbotsford to me. I am sure our neighbours couldnt wait for a quieter Abbotsford, instead of having four young girls jumping on a trampoline singing songs about potions, pirates, or self-image. Pretty incredible, definately Hollywood material. I am sure if Rexy ever was to follow his dream of producing film, this would be one idea to make it to the box office.
Being with family in Abbotsford has been alot of fun too. Too see cousins grow up, and be the person that says, "I remember when you were this big...."
Of course, Silva get togethers are always a gong show, I cant get enough. Pure entertainment. Here are some photos to give you just a taste of a Silva evening.










I am going to go to bed now, I have a big day of packing tomorow, and Sunday morning we take off to London Englad.
